Closer: A Women’s Group Focused on Fulfilling Relationships
FOR WOMEN WHO WANT DEEPER, HEALTHIER RELATIONSHIPS
You want relationships that feel safe and connected —but something keeps getting in the way
You’re thoughtful, self-aware, maybe the one everyone else leans on. You’ve done therapy, read books, and yet... relationships still feel messy. Complicated. Like no matter how hard you try, something feels just a little off.
Maybe you overthink everything. Maybe you shut down the second things start to get close. Maybe you long for connection but feel like you're somehow doing it wrong. Maybe there’s conflict or distance. Exhausted from always being the emotional caretaker. Lonely even when you’re surrounded by people. Worried that if you show your full self, people will leave. Tired of second-guessing every little thing.
If any of that rings true—you’re in the right place.
The truth? If relationships feel harder than they should, there’s usually a reason. And it’s not because something’s wrong with you.
A lot of these struggles come from the past—early emotional wounds, attachment patterns, relationship trauma or growing up in environments where being yourself didn’t always feel safe. Over time, you might have learned to question your instincts, hide your needs or work extra hard to keep the peace.
That kind of history doesn’t just disappear. It shows up in your day-to-day life—with your partner, your friends, your family, your coworkers. Even with yourself.
Closer is a bi-weekly therapy group for women who want to understand those patterns, feel more at ease in their relationships and start showing up in ways that feel real and grounded—not exhausting.
Why can it seem so difficult to feel truly connected?
When closeness has felt unsafe or unpredictable in the past, it makes total sense that it’s hard to relax into connection now. Maybe you’ve been let down. Maybe you were taught that asking for too much drives people away. Maybe being close creates anxiety.
Relationship anxiety, fear of vulnerability, fear of commitment—it’s all more common than people talk about. And when you’re constantly second-guessing yourself or stuck in a cycle of push-pull with others, it can leave you wondering if deep, secure connection is even possible.
Spoiler: it is. But it takes practice. And the best place to practice is somewhere safe.
That’s exactly what this group is.
Why Group Therapy?
Here’s the thing—most of our struggles in relationships didn’t happen in isolation. They happened in connection. And that means the healing has to happen there too.
In this group, you’ll connect with other women who totally get it. You’ll notice how your patterns show up in real time. You’ll start to notice other’s feeling and reactions with curiosity and care. You’ll try out new ways of relating—and see what it’s like to be supported while you do.
You’ll learn by doing, not just talking. That’s what makes group therapy so powerful.
Let’s be honest: therapy isn’t cheap. But group therapy gives you the depth of individual work—with the added power of community—for a lot less.
It’s affordable, it’s impactful, and it’s designed to meet you where you are.
If you’ve got out-of-network insurance benefits, we can even help you check what’s reimbursable.
What to Expect
This isn’t a class. It’s not a drop-in support group either. It’s a therapist-led space for real growth, true connection and honest conversations.
We’ll talk about things like:
How your early relationships shaped how you show up today
What your boundaries (or lack of them) are really about
Why being vulnerable can feel so scary
How to stop people-pleasing and start listening to yourself
Whether you’re dealing with dating, long-term relationships, friendship dynamics, family issues or just trying to feel more at home with yourself—this group is for you.
What you’ll get from the group
By being part of Closer, you’ll:
Understand where your patterns come from—and how to shift them
Feel more confident about what you want, need and deserve
Experience real connection and learn to communicate with more clarity and honesty
Build skills for handling conflict without shutting down or blowing up
Get better at setting and holding boundaries that actually feel good
Begin to trust yourself more
Is this group for you?
Yes, if you:
Want to feel more connected in your relationships without losing yourself
Are tired of letting fear or self-doubt run the show
Are open to exploring your patterns and trying something new
Crave connection with other women who are doing the same kind of work
